The Blue Birds in the Photo above live in the future Art Garden Blue Bird House outside the Art Class Rooms. The pair have been watching Keith Wilder, chair of our Green Team, as he has worked around Martin this summer. He named them Jane and Bill! In case you are not aware, the Building and Grounds Committee is now The Green Team at Martin. The team is being co-chaired by Anna and Keith Wilder who recently completed a 5 year commitment at Douglas Elementary to improve the landscaping after Douglas was renovated. We have already been busy this Summer breathing some life and color back into the landscaping at Martin by adding new annual plantings at the entrances facing Ridge Road and Horton Street and working on the area outside the art and music rooms. The 29 acre campus needs our help so we are planning to have workdays and other activities this year. A planning session will be held after school starts. Go Green!
If you have an interest in helping, please email Anna and Keith Wilder @
